Thursday night at Brennan’s, we celebrated the installation of the 2026–2027 Greater Houston Dental Society officers and directors.

The evening included the installation of Dr. Katie Stuchlik as GHDS President as we also recognized and thanked Dr. Joel Vela for his leadership and service during his year as president.

It was a night full of leadership, mentorship, friendship, and a shared commitment to moving organized dentistry forward in Houston. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us to support GHDS and the people who continue to invest their time, talent, and energy into our profession and our community.

A special thank you to Sean Pendergast for serving as our keynote speaker and bringing plenty of laughs with his stories about teeth, sports, and the moments where the two worlds collide.

Congratulations to our incoming officers and directors — we’re excited for the year ahead.

Congratulations to the UTHealth School of Dentistry Class of 2026! 🎓🦷

What an incredible day celebrating the newest dentists entering our profession. The Greater Houston Dental Society was proud to be represented at commencement alongside so many leaders dedicated to supporting the future of dentistry — including Dr. Katie Stuchlik, GHDS President-Elect, Dr. Rita Cammarata representing the ADA as 15th District Trustee, Dr. Glenn Hall representing TDA as Immediate Past President, and Dr. Nader Nadershahi, ADA Executive Director, who delivered the commencement address. Special shoutout to the best Dean Valenza in making it through his last graduation ceremony as Dean- you will be missed.

As these graduates begin their careers, we hope they know there is a place for them in organized dentistry. GHDS, , and the exist to support dentists through mentorship, advocacy, continuing education, leadership opportunities, and community.
