🎉 Meet Joan Hochstein – October Resident of the Month! 🎶

Born and raised in Motown, Joan’s life has always been filled with music. Her dad’s love for performing inspired her own passion for singing — especially 1950's hits and Elvis Presley classics 🎤💖.

She’s a proud mom to Jim and Robbin, and a loving grandma who once sang lullabies to her babies. Today, her sunny smile ☀️ and sweet voice light up Glacier Hill House!

Joan also loves cats 🐱, knitting 🧶, ice skating ⛸️, and any movie starring Patrick Swayze 💃.

🐴 Meadow Brook Welcomes Snap, Crackle, Pop & Dottie! 🐴

Our residents had a joyful visit from Free Rein Farm and their adorable mini-donkeys — Snap, Crackle, Pop, and Dottie! 🫶 This marks their third year bringing smiles and comfort to our community through their Equine Assisted Learning programs.

🦋 Monarch Butterfly Extravaganza: A Fluttering Finale! 🦋

September was magical on Glacier Hill! Our residents became proud foster parents to a dozen Monarch caterpillars, feeding them fresh milkweed and watching in awe as they transformed before our eyes.

One resident exclaimed, “I never knew it happened like this!” — and we couldn’t agree more!

Last week, morning bingo paused for a moment of wonder as butterfly #12 emerged from its chrysalis, stretching its wings for the very first time. Each butterfly was lovingly released to begin its journey south, and the joy was contagious!
🌿 The verdict? We’re doing it again next year! 🐛➡️🦋

COVID UPDATE

We are COVID positive. One household is in COVID quarantine.

Infection Control Reminders:
If you are experiencing signs and symptoms consistent with COVID and/or the FLU, don't visit.

Symptoms can include but are not limited too: Fever, congestion, cough, nausea, vomiting, body and muscle aches.

As always, everyone practice good hand hygiene before and after visiting by using our alcohol hand sanitization dispensers. Masks are provided at the entrance for your convenience.
