Scar Healing After a Tummy Tuck: What to Expect and How We Support You at Every Stage ✨❤️

Next day after surgery:
The incision looks fresh and slightly raised, with normal swelling and redness.
💓At Glamour Plastic Surgery, we check your incision the next day, review wound care in detail, and ensure dressings are placed properly to support early healing and minimize tension on the scar.

1 week after:
The incision is closed and healing steadily. Bruising and swelling continue to improve, and the scar may appear darker or feel firm.
💓At this stage, we remove or assess sutures as appropriate, reinforce scar care instructions, and guide you on activity modifications to protect the incision.

3 weeks after:
The scar often appears pink or red and can feel tight or firm. This is a normal collagen-building phase.
💓We continue scar management strategies, including silicone-based products, massage education, and positioning guidance to help the scar heal smoothly.

3 months after:
The scar starts to soften and flatten, with redness gradually fading.

6 months after:

The scar reaches its most refined state for most patients, typically thin, flat, and well blended with the surrounding skin.

Do you see the scar at Day 30 after blepharoplasty?✨👁️

We know many of you worry about scarring and bruising after this cosmetic surgery, but the downtime is not as difficult as you might expect. Stitches come out on Day 5, and by Day 14 you can even apply makeup again. By Day 30, the scar is barely visible, although some mild swelling may still linger!
