To improve the well-being of the residents of Plaquemines Parish, “One child, one family at a time!” The Plaquemines Community C.A.R.E.

Centers Foundation is the human services agency in Plaquemines Parish. We are a non-profit agency serving the needs of children, adolescents, adults, families, people with developmental disabilities, and the elderly by providing parenting skills instruction, behavioral health services (including counseling for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and to survivors of abuse – child abuse, sexual abuse, elder abuse, human trafficking, and domestic violence), and linkage to resources in our community and the metropolitan area. The CARE Center, as the human services agency for the parish, promotes growth and resilience, through coordinated prevention, advocacy, assessment, education, counseling, and early intervention to improve the quality of life for children and their families, the elderly, and community members with disabilities. Our vision is to improve the well-being of the residents of Plaquemines Parish, “One child, one family at a time!”

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking continuing education training: “Beyond the Hotline: Ethical & Relational Complexities of Mandated Reporting.” This 3-hour ethics CE session will explore the real-world challenges professionals face when navigating mandated reporting, including legal vs. ethical considerations, bias, clinical decision-making, and maintaining the therapeutic relationship.

This live, interactive Zoom training is designed for counseling professionals and students looking to deepen their understanding and strengthen their practice.
