Last night our savasana was soundtracked by a screaming child. I mean JUST as soon as we were settled, the music stopped, this little dude came in right on time.
Practicing outside like we do at Belleview comes with it's fair share of distractions... people walking by, playing in the pool, birds, bunnies, planes... you get the picture. For me, this is one of the best parts of it. Unlike a traditional yoga studio, designed with calmness and relaxation in mind, practicing out "in the wild" challenges you in many and, like last night and life in general, often unpredictable ways that help build resilience of mind as you must consciously return your awareness to your breath and the state of your own body.
To piggy back on my last post, gains are great but becoming a master of your own mind is the greatest investment you can make for yourself. And while I continue to learn, I am so very grateful to have such great company as we test our limits together. Thank you thank you thank you 🧡
