Breast cancer can affect women of all ages — even adolescents. While it’s often thought of as a disease that impacts women age 40+, it’s important to remember that early awareness saves lives.

✨ Regular self-exams and recommended screenings are vital tools for early detection.
✨ Knowing your body and speaking up if something feels different can make all the difference.

🧐 We caught a suspicious lump in a breast of an adolescent patient, in which her primary care provider said she is too young to have breast cancer and that the lump is of no concern. Imaging says otherwise and the lump is suspicious for cancer. Now this adolescent individual and her family have to go through the next steps of a biopsy for something they thought and was told, was benign and of no concern. Please advocate for yourselves and your loved ones. When in doubt, ALWAYS get a second opinion!

To every patient who has trusted me with your weight loss journey and to the new weight loss and primary care patients joining our practice, thank you. I am deeply grateful for the trust you place in me to guide, support, and partner with you in your care.

We may not have every answer immediately, and we may not be the loudest experts out there, but we will always listen, learn, and work together to find the best path for your health. You are the center of your care; you know your body best, and your voice matters in every decision we make. We will respect your experience, include you in the plan, and do the work to learn what we need so we can be the best providers for you.
