Introducing Mary Rutan Health’s Baby New Year!

Our first baby of the New Year took her time making her grand entrance, arriving on January 2nd at Mary Rutan Health! Sophia weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 19 inches long, arriving to her loving parents, Alexis and Matthew.

To celebrate the occasion, the Family Birth Center presented the family with a special New Year’s gift basket filled with baby essentials to help them begin this exciting new chapter.

“We are honored to share in such a meaningful moment for this family,” said Mary Sebring, VP of Patient Services at Mary Rutan Hospital. “Welcoming the first baby of the New Year is a cherished tradition for our team, and we wish this family a year filled with health, happiness, and new beginnings.”

Our Emergency Room, located at 205 E. Palmer Rd., Bellefontaine, remains open 24/7 for all of your emergency care needs. Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve!

Congratulations to our mammography team at the Mary Rutan Crawfis Imaging Center!

Our radiologists were recently notified by the FDA that we passed their Mammography Quality Standards Act audit! The MQSA audit requires that we are inspected by accredited bodies to ensure that we meet all regulatory requirements and provide quality mammography services.

It takes hard work, knowledge, and dedication to continuously meet these requirements, but our team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure we are operating at a level that routinely meets and exceeds the expectations of not only our surveyors, but also our community. Thank you to our Radiology team!

As we close out 2025, we want to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary work of our Mary Rutan Cardiac Catheterization Lab team.

Through November, our Cath Lab completed 117 heart catheterizations, with 76 patients receiving one or more stents to restore healthy blood flow. Of those 117 cases, 32 patients arrived in the midst of an active heart attack, and because of the skill, speed, and teamwork of our Cath Lab professionals, lifesaving intervention was delivered right here at Mary Rutan Health.

These numbers represent more than procedures; they represent lives changed, families preserved, and futures protected. The expertise and dedication of our Cath Lab team continue to elevate the level of cardiac care available in our community, and we could not be more proud or grateful.

Thank you to our entire Cardiac Catheterization Lab team for the exceptional care you provide every day. Your work truly saves lives.
