If this is your first Thanksgiving after losing a loved one, things are going to be different. Nothing will be quite the same, but instead of trying to make things like they always were, consider doing things a little bit different.

You could bake your loved one's favorite dessert in their memory. Write a gratitude list of things you truly appreciated about them as a person. Or visit with family and friends who can share old memories with you and make new ones. Even though you’re grieving, you can make this holiday special and one to remember with fondness.
