We met Ed back in December of 2025. Ed suffered an unfortunate stroke in July that left him weak and with little motion on the right side of his body. He felt he got little from the therapy he received during the months leading up to our arrival and was unable to stand, transfer or walk 3 months following discharge to home from the rehabilitation hospital. We were skeptical that Ed would ever be able to walk again but were willing to match his motivation to return to life. We are happy to announce that today Ed is walking, is standing and transferring independently! Life looks a little different as he requires the use of a walker, but that doesn’t slow Ed down. He’s moving, he’s happier and having to rely less on his supportive wife. Ed is a reminder that often the art of life is simply adjusting.
