Today, the USPS released a new Forever stamp featuring the cheerful sunflower! This versatile plant is native to the Americas, but is now grown all over the world due to the neutral oil its tasty seeds produce. Sunflowers are an important symbol to many groups, including the Zuni people of New Mexico. In Ukraine, they are the national flower and have come to represent hope, unity, and resistance to Russia's invasion.

The USPS has released five new stamps honoring Chicano culture through the "low and slow" artform of the classic lowrider. Originating in the American southwest in the postwar period, lowriders were a hallmark of Mexican-American youth culture and in opposition to the United States' "hot rod" obsession at the time. Despite the California Vehicle Code prohibiting the practice in 1958, lowriders and their drivers persevered, adopting ingenious hydraulic systems to keep cruising. After years of protest against what many saw as a law discriminating against Chicanos and the broader Latino community, California officially reinstated the right to lowride in 2023.
