Today in Washington, DC the USPS released the "Holiday Cheer" stamps featuring mixed-media illustrations from artist Denise Fiedler. The stamps will be issued in booklets of 20.

Reminder: The fourth auction of covers and postal history from the estate of Alfred F. "Al" Kugel by Cherrystone Auctions begins TODAY.
Session one, which begins at 10 a.m. Eastern, will feature material from the U.S., Afghanistan, Germany, Great Britain, and the British Commonwealth, including Kugel's "The U.S. Army and its Postal Service Abroad during World War II 1941-45" exhibit.
Session two, which begins at 1 p.m. Eastern, will feature material from Italy, Russia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, including several large lots of worldwide covers and postal history — potential undiscovered treasures await!
