When you’re thinking about returning to work, it helps to have support from an organization that understands the big picture and the details that matter to you.

Allsup Employment Services (AES) was created with one goal in mind: to help people with disabilities return to work safely and confidently using the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Ticket To Work Program.
Founded in 2014 by CEO Jim Allsup, AES is an SSA-authorized Employment Network that helps SSDI beneficiaries nationwide get back in the workforce when they are ready to do so.

AES continues that mission by helping you use the Ticket To Work Program to:
- Protect your SSDI, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicare benefits while working.
- Receive support throughout your return-to-work journey.

We understand the frustration of the approval process and we’re here to help you take the next step when you’re ready.

When you think about returning to work, one of the biggest questions might be: What will happen to my Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits?

Fortunately, once you’ve been approved for and are receiving SSDI benefits, you may qualify for Social Security’s Ticket To Work (TTW) Program. This program offers incentives that let you try returning to work without risking your SSDI payments or Medicare coverage.

These incentives include:
- Trial Work Period (TWP): Allows you to test your ability to work for nine non-consecutive months while still receiving full SSDI payments.
- Extended Period of Eligibility (EPE): A 36-month safety net during which you can still receive benefits for any months your earnings are below $1,620 ($2,700 if blind).
- Continuing Medicare Coverage: You may continue your Medicare coverage for 93 consecutive months after your TWP ends, even if your SSDI payments have ended due to work.
- Continuing Disability Review (CDR) Protection: Social Security periodically reviews disability claims to see if you still qualify as disabled. In many cases your CDR will be suspended if you’re meeting TTW’s progress review criteria.
- Expedited Reinstatement: If you become unable to work due to your disability within 5 years after your benefits terminate, you can request to have your SSDI benefits restarted through a reinstatement, without filing a new application.

At Allsup Employment Services (AES), we can help you understand and use these protections to move forward with confidence: https://www.allsupemploymentservices.com/job-seekers/how-your-ssdi-benefits-are-protected

When you return to work while receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), it is important to report your earnings to the Social Security Administration (SSA). Reporting helps prevent overpayments, protects your benefits and ensures your record stays accurate.

You can report your earnings in several ways:
- By phone: Call your local Social Security office or the national SSA line.
- Online: Use your personal my Social Security account.
- By mail or in person: Submit pay stubs directly to SSA.

Keeping SSA informed each month helps avoid surprises and allows you to take full advantage of the work incentives available through the Ticket To Work Program (TTW): https://www.ssa.gov/disability/reporting/wages

At Allsup Employment Services (AES), we guide you through the reporting process, so you understand what to share, when to share it and how it connects to your benefits: https://www.allsupemploymentservices.com/job-seekers

Going back to work while receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) can feel complicated. Without the Ticket to Work (TTW) Program, you may have fewer options for guidance and support when questions come up about your benefits, and you’ll be responsible for managing the rules on your own.

By choosing TTW, you gain:
- A clear framework for working and keeping track of your benefits.
- Dedicated support from an Employment Network (EN), like Allsup Employment Services (AES), that understands the rules and helps you follow them.
- Peace of mind knowing you have a structured program designed to make working easier while you continue to receive benefits.

You don’t have to manage the return-to-work process on your own. TTW gives you tools and support to make the transition smoother. AES is here to guide you every step of the way: https://www.allsupemploymentservices.com/job-seekers/what-is-an-employment-network

In addition, more companies are embracing disability-inclusive hiring, offering flexible schedules, remote work options and accommodations that make workplaces more accessible.

Through Social Security’s Ticket To Work Program (TTW), you can explore these opportunities while protecting your SSDI benefits and healthcare coverage.

Remote and hybrid jobs can be a good fit for people with disabilities, but they also bring unique challenges. Diane Winiarski, director of Allsup Employment Services (AES), highlights why mental well-being is important in today’s workplaces.

You’ll learn how employers can:
- Build flexible and inclusive environments.
- Support employees with mental health needs to improve engagement and performance.
- Promote balance and help reduce isolation in remote or hybrid roles.

For workers with disabilities, mental well-being matters alongside career goals. Staying connected, managing stress and using available support can make remote or hybrid work more sustainable and fulfilling.
