The Impact Su***de webinar is happening September 12, 8:00am–12:30pm CT. Learn how we can break the stigma, discover real alternatives to 911 & the ER, and find resources that save lives.

Going back to school while grieving can be hard and messy! Coping, or doing things to help us feel better, is a necessary topic to explore so we can help each other manage big grief reactions. Doing an activity together or just being in the car traveling somewhere can provide a safe way to talk about grief and learn about how it is affecting your kids.

For this activity, invite each family member to write or draw one family coping idea on a piece of paper. Each family member can then add three to five activities to the Family Coping Jar. Once per week, you can pull an idea from the jar to support each other in coping as a family.

The Madison County Mental Health Board is partnering with SIUE Office of Online Services & Educational Outreach to present the IMPACT Su***de Conference: Dispelling the Myths.

The 2025 IMPACT su***de conference will focus on the myths around su***de. Attendees will learn from people who are on the frontlines of su***de prevention, who will be sharing ideas for treatment options and specific resources. The conference will bring information to a varied audience from community members, professionals, first responders and community leaders and influencers to drive conversations and bridge silos to help create awareness about crisis alternatives, treatment alternatives, and ways you can make an impact on the person in your world.
