Because let's face it, we all have a one-way ticket to the afterlife, and Mr. Grim Reaper himself will be there to collect each and every one of us in the end. Effective Fat-loss:

If you've ever tried to lose weight, you've probably Googled "diet tips" or "how to burn fat fast" at some point. And what do they say? Cut out carbs, cut out fat, cut out sugar, and eat X foods at Y times of the day. This is enough to make anyone's head spin.

Luckily, it doesn't have to be complicated! Effective fat loss is based on just a few simple principles:

-Reduce calories slightly

-Increase daily step count (at least 4500 steps per day is productive)

-Keep protein high (1gm/1b of BW/day)

-Strive to maintain as much strength as possible on big lifts

Stop overcomplicating fat loss. Create a caloric deficit by eating slightly less and moving slightly more while keeping your protein high and your strength training regime the same.

Everyday is another chance to enjoy your life.

In the grand scheme of things, our time on this earth is but a fleeting moment. We spend the majority of our lives working, striving, and chasing after things that we believe will bring us happiness and fulfillment. But in doing so, we often forget the most fundamental aspect of our existence - the fact that we are alive, here and now.

We become so consumed by material possessions and societal expectations that we forget what it truly means to live. We forget the importance of human connection, of experiences, of memories that we create in the present moment.

Life is a paradoxical journey, a complex interplay between light and dark, joy and sorrow, success and failure. We cannot control everything that happens to us, but we can control how we respond to it. We can choose to embrace the moment, to savor every experience, to cherish every memory.

So let us break free from the chains of routine and embrace the beauty of life. Let us learn to appreciate every moment, to find meaning in the seemingly mundane, and to never forget that every experience, no matter how small, has the potential to shape our lives in profound ways.

For in the end, it is not the material possessions or societal status that define our lives, but the memories we create, the people we touch, and the love we give and receive. So let us make the most of our time here on earth, and never forget the profound beauty and complexity of the human experience.

Battling body image…

My wife gained 5lbs over the holidays and it still messed with her head. She’s absolutely gorgeous in my eyes but, those little nagging voices in her head can still pull her off her square at times and she struggles with her body. Body image has been so ingrained into her psychic that it’s hard for her to see herself at times in a positive light while celebrating the Holidays. I reassure her daily of how beautiful she is to try and mitigate some of the negativity dealt by body image. Sharing to let others know they are not alone in the struggle and that you are beautiful.

Body image is an issue which affects people of all demographics and backgrounds. We are all inundated with messages from the media telling us how we should look. Unrealistic media ideals are often presented alongside diet regimes or products which claim to alter appearance. Body image concerns in people of all ages appear to be on the increase. Body beautiful messaging no longer targets only young people but increasingly affects people of all ages. We are bombarded with ‘picture perfect’ images of celebrities of every age endorsing beauty regimes or fitness products.

Stop comparisons! Avoid comparing yourself to the idealised bodies presented in the media. People in the media are often put under very unhealthy pressure to look slender and toned, they also have every resource necessary to do so. It can be helpful to recognise the unrealistic standards set for people by the media, and to acknowledge that what is most important at this time is looking after yourself, feeling good about yourself and caring for your health.

"Age-tastic" - Fitness over 40

The key component to being “age-tastic” is health. Health is everything – think about it.

Without health, your knowledge isn’t much use to you, because your infirmities occupy your mind. Without health, your wealth isn’t much use to you because you end up so limited in how you can use it and enjoy it. Without health, you can’t fully explore and apply your creativity because it is thwarted by so much mental attention being diverted to your ill-health.

Without health, you can’t even exercise your strengths and make them work to expanding you in personal growth – because all your strength is being drained by your ill-health.

So let’s stop talking about ideal body-images and the like as you age.

To the Platinum Club member – living age-tastically after 40 means blending the truth now as more important than ever – THAT HEALTH IS FITNESS, AND FITNESS LENDS TO HEALTH. And prevention is far better a strategy than is cure! After age 40 - To live and be age-tastic’ means that supporting and maintaining good health is your conscious duty. Our generation has been gifted the blessing of extended life. We should be honoring that blessing by owning responsibility to live the reality that HEALTH IS WEALTH – and living your life in a way that honors this truth is living age-tastically.

The first Step to change is, “Brutal self-assessment”, it takes a level of humility that’s jarring to the soul and totally crushes your ego.

Do not vanish from sight when issues arise, tackle the problem by facing it with honesty. You are not perfect, but you’ve got to be genuine. 💯
