Nic Myers I just donated in honor of our mama (Marta Roberts) because she is amazing and so is the Central Pennsylvania Clinic - you should donate too! :)
Congrats to Kierra, a patient of Dr. Morton’s and the Central Pennsylvania Clinic for winning 4th place at the Berks County Science Fair at Albright University. Her experiment looked at her MCADD genetic disorder and how it affects her blood sugars

Beautiful fields right down the road from the Central Pennsylvania Clinic. The area is so beautiful this time of year!

[05/13/20]   Just a reminder that the date of our Annual Benefit Auction has been changed due to the current health concerns, from this weekend to August 28th and 29th. We apologize for any inconvenience, but look forward to seeing everyone in August. Be safe, and stay well. 😉

The staff at the Central PA Clinic wish to thank the Mennonite Distaster Relief for making masks during this uncertain time, and Drs. Christian Macedonia and Roy Small for providing some of them to us. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Even the horses are mindful of the COVID19 risk! 😉😷

Genetic Research RN, Lacrisha Diven, does the first COVID-19 test during a drive-through at the Central Pennsylvania Clinic in Belleville. The goal is to prevent the spread of this virus by testing our patients and their families who are asymptomatic (without symptoms, though still spreading the virus). Our testing is done through CSI Laboratory in Huntingdon, PA, and has a 48-hr turnaround time for results.

[03/20/20]   From Mary Caperton-Morton:

As some of you know, my Dad (Holmes Morton, way too busy for FB) works with a medically vulnerable population of Amish children and families in central Pennsylvania. Getting his patients tested for Covid-19 has been an uphill battle because only a handful of labs in PA were approved to do the testing and those labs had very limited capacities, as low as 25 a day. So ever the resourceful physician, Dad has figured out how to test for Covid-19 using the genetics testing equipment he has available (in partnership with Juniata College) by developing an RNA/ DNA test to identify the virus by the presence of its genetic code. He's now setting up a horse and buggy drive-thru to test his entire staff, patients and anybody else in the area who wants a test. In the meantime, the Central Pennsylvania Clinic's spring fundraisers have been cancelled and they're seriously worried about how they're going to keep the lights on next month, let alone how they will pay their dedicated staff. Dad's been working tirelessly for decades, always on the cutting edge, always on a shoestring, as one of medicine's truest heroes. If you're able to donate to the Central PA Clinic, you can do so through Paypal.
