The Bishop score is a rating scale from 0-13 and is used in multiple ways. It is used to assess how likely someone will go into labor on their own. It is also used to see how successful an induction will be and decide on the best way to start an induction. A Bishop score of 8 or greater usually means the cervix is favorable for induction, lower than 6 means the cervix may not be ready for labor. Before being induced you can ask your midwife or Ob to check your bishop score to help make an informed choice on being induced.

Both planned and unplanned C-sections are performed to help protect mother and baby from potential complications of vaginal delivery. have you had a cesarean birth?

Did you know that you have many options for birth even during a cesarean? Check out some of these options to make a cesarean "seem" more like a vaginal birth.
Other names for a Family Centered Cesarean birth is a "natural cesarean" or a "gentle cesarean".
Physical recovery is the same as any other cesarean, but choosing some of these options can help reduce the chances of postpartum depression/anxiety and help with the bond between mother and baby(s).

When making decisions for you and your baby, it is wise to use your "B.R.A.I.N." This is a helpful way to think of questions to ask your providers or a way to help you while making decisions for you and your child's care.

No one doula is perfect for everyone. I hope to be the best doula for all my clients, but sometimes there is not a great fit or there is not a great connection. I wish all women an amazing and supported pregnancy and birth whether you chose me as your doula or you find another doula.
These are some of the amazing doulas I would recommend if it felt like you needed someone to better represent you.
