Do you have bladder leakage when you cough or sneeze? Why are we rushing to use the bathroom? What’s the hurry? As a child, we were conditioned to hurry when we were in the restroom.

For the next two weeks, whenever you go to the restroom, take your time to relax the sphincter (opening) and allow gravity to empty the bladder without additional downward force. It’s not a race; doing this will only take an additional minute or so. I want you to note any differences.

This article started out making me laugh because I remember when I had to practice DRE for medical school. Stimulating the vagal nerve which runs through our digestive system leads to relaxation.
