Root Hair Institute (RHI) is a comprehensive hair loss and restoration center located in the Greater Seattle area.

We offer thorough hair loss education, workup, diagnosis, and treatment for all forms of hair loss. All photographs on our page of before and after results are examples only. All surgical and non-surgical results are subject to the individual results of the patient, the patient's adherence to a maintenance and care plan, and the normal variability of clinical procedure results. All surgery and non-surgery procedures carry potential risks and complications which are described in detail in our surgical consent forms. All patients have given their consent for their images to be displayed on our page.

This past weekend, Dr. R and Dr. K joined the other Seattle Seahawks Small Business Partners at the VMAC for a tour of the Seahawks practice facility! They had a great time meeting fellow business owners in the area, and posed for a photo with former Seahawk Sidney Rice. We can’t wait for the NFL season to start!

Meet one of our amazing staff members, Elyse! “My name is Elyse and I’m RHI’s Lead Medical Assistant - you’ll find me bouncing back and forth between clinic and surgery, supporting my team where I am needed most. I’m native to Washington and enjoy spending off time in the beauty of our state paddleboarding, hiking, and boating in the summer. We had an eventful October! We traveled to Bergamo, Lake Como, and Milan for a wedding and then headed to Denver for the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) 32nd World Congress.

2 - Dr. K presenting "How I Got Involved in the ISHRS" at the Women in the ISHRS breakfast
3 - Dr. K as Co-Editor of the official journal of the ISHRS, the Hair Transplant Forum International, together with Co-Editor Dr. Luis Nader, presented awards to the outgoing Meeting Review Forum Columnist Dr. Rachel Kay and presented the O'Tar Norwood Best Forum Article Award to Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich and Dr. Corazon Almira Mella.
4- Having a great time learning recent advances in the hair restoration field and seeing colleagues and friends from around the world!
5 - Dr. K presenting "Dermoscopic Findings in Traction Alopecia" as part of the Afro Hair Restoration Course at ISHRS (virtually because she was in Milan at the time!)
6 - All glammed up for a wedding in Lake Como, Italy!
7 - Enjoying some time off in Italy!
