Side note: I may not post often, but I’m still over here doing my thang! I often get hung up on lighting consistency (or lack thereof) in before and after photos which prevents me from posting because I’m a control freak like than the sun unfortunately does not let me control its whereabouts in the sky and ring lights can only do so much to offset that variable in a room full of windows. Also, after a full day of seeing patients and charting, the last thing I feel like doing is putting together a clever IG post. Not to mention, my best referrals come from my beautiful patients who are walking around in real life and referring their sweet friends ❤️

One of the best parts of my work—whether it’s in aesthetics or wellness—is creating space for patients to feel truly heard. More often than not, I hear people say it’s the first time in years that a provider has listened to them, which sadly doesn’t surprise me in today’s world of short and rushed appointments both in healthcare and in aesthetics. That feedback never gets old, because my goal is always to collaborate and make sure every patient feels supported in their journey.

This week, a sweet couple drove up from Tacoma to pick up supplements and surprised us with flowers. 🌸 I don’t usually share posts about patients giving gifts, because I would never want anyone to feel like that’s expected—it absolutely isn’t (and in fact, the best gift is a hug, referrals, and positive google reviews!). The point here isn’t the flowers, it’s the pure excitement and happiness they shared about how good they’re feeling since we started working together, the beautiful flowers were just an added bonus. Their energy, mood, body aches, and outlook have greatly improved, and seeing that transformation and their gratitude is what made my day.

They even asked to take a group photo (with our sweet Linda saying her smiling face at the front desk makes their day when they come in) so I could share it, which made the moment even sweeter. 💛 These are the reminders of why I love what I do—helping patients feel healthier, more confident, and truly cared for whether in aesthetics or wellness.

🪄 Airbrush magic—in the form of HA filler ✨

Hyaluronic acid (HA) filler isn’t just for enhancing lips or contouring cheeks—it’s also an incredible tool for softening stubborn static lines that neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport can’t treat. While neuromodulators work beautifully for most dynamic lines (think forehead, glabella, crow’s feet) because they relax the muscles beneath the skin, that means we don’t want to use them in areas where muscle movement is essential for natural expression—like the smile lines around the mouth.

That’s where HA filler shines. It can gently fill and smooth those etched-in lines without affecting expression. The results in this post (top photo is before, bottom is after) are from just one session—with a subtle touch of hydration to the lips as well.

Depending on how deep the lines are, some people may need a second treatment for optimal results. And for long-term support, pairing filler with collagen-stimulating treatments like Moxi, RF microneedling, or Sculptra, plus a strong skincare regimen, can actually rebuild the skin over time. Repetitive movement and collagen breakdown cause these lines—so the more we support the skin’s repair processes, the better your results will hold up.

Pro tip: Don’t skip your SPF. It protects your investment—and your collagen.

Downtime: Expect 1–3 days of moderate swelling, and give it 1–2 weeks for the filler to fully integrate and for any bruising to resolve.

✨ Two weeks post-tox & filler ✨ Before on the left, after on the right!

This beautiful patient wanted to look refreshed while maintaining natural movement—mission accomplished! One of her biggest concerns was the fine lines on her temples and the early signs of perioral rhytids (aka those tiny lines around the mouth). We talked about how static lines won’t disappear overnight but will continue to soften with consistent tox, great skincare, and collagen-boosting treatments like lasers & microneedling.

She was a total tox & filler newbie but decided to go for it at her consult! We did tox and split a syringe of filler between her lips and chin to subtly support her lips—part of a longer-term plan to enhance her features naturally — and respected the natural shape of her lips. At her follow-up, her lips were still a little tender (normal! Healing takes time), so we’ll reassess in a few weeks before making any tweaks.

She’s loving her results (as am I!)—brows are more even, movement is intact, and nothing feels heavy or frozen. Chef’s kiss! She even wants more lip filler, but patience is key—slow and steady is the way to go for lasting, beautiful results. Can’t wait to see how things continue to settle! ✨
