The Silverado Bellevue memory care community brings our signature style of compassionate, innovative care to families dealing with the challenges of dementia in Bellevue, Redmond, Seattle, Kirkland and more. Now serving residents from Seattle, Kirkland, Redmond, Renton and surrounding areas, the Silverado Bellevue Memory Care Community is more than just assisted living. The community features indoor space specifically designed to meet the unique needs of the memory impaired, as well as outside space purposefully built to give residents the freedom to enjoy the outdoors. The overall design serves to bring the Silverado experience to residents and their families, providing the individuals we serves with dignity, respect and the best quality of life possible.

This past month, our community has been filled with energy, laughter, and a touch of Irish charm as our residents enjoyed a fun-filled themed celebration! ☘️

From our cooking clubs, where residents rolled up their sleeves to make delicious potato pancakes, Irish soda bread, and even sweet Irish kettle corn, to our service clubs where they thoughtfully created green candles to share with visiting friends—there has been no shortage of creativity and purpose.

Residents also immersed themselves in Irish music and history clubs, exploring the rich story of Ireland, learning about traditional foods, and sharing in the magic of timeless folk tales.

Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to learn, create, and celebrate together. It’s been a wonderful month full of connection, culture, and joy! 💚

This week we are proud to shine our Resident Spotlight on the wonderful Bill!
Bill is truly a delight to have in our community. He brings a warm presence and a kind spirit to each day, whether he’s enjoying a good book, spending time playing with our community dogs, or participating in daily exercise with enthusiasm and determination.
His love for staying active and engaged inspires those around him, and his gentle nature makes him a joy to be with. From sharing smiles with friends to embracing each moment with positivity, Bill helps make our community a brighter place.

This week our community had the incredible opportunity to learn from one of our very own residents, who shared a special presentation about his time serving with King County Search and Rescue.
For over 20 years, he dedicated his life to volunteering in search and rescue, helping others in times of need and making a meaningful impact throughout our region. In addition to his service, he also spent many years as a devoted teacher in local high schools and junior highs, shaping and inspiring generations of students.
Residents and team members were captivated as he shared stories, experiences, and insights from his years in the field. It was a truly unique and enriching experience to hear firsthand about the courage, teamwork, and heart that defined his work.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the remarkable lives and accomplishments of those in our community. Thank you for sharing your story and allowing us to honor your legacy of service and dedication. 💙

🌟 Resident Spotlight: Ray 🌟
We are thrilled to shine this week’s Resident Spotlight on the incredible Ray!
Ray has been instrumental in helping our newest community dogs feel safe, loved, and right at home. With a heart full of compassion and a natural gift for caregiving, Ray has stepped into the special role of Volunteer Pet Care Assistant. She warmly welcomes each of our furry friends into her room, offering them comfort, companionship, and plenty of love.
Her gentle spirit and dedication not only help our dogs acclimate to their new environment, but also bring joy and purpose to our entire community. Watching the special bond between Ray and our community pets is a beautiful reminder of the healing power of connection, responsibility, and unconditional love.

Our community welcomed the Lunar New Year with an unforgettable celebration filled with culture, tradition, and delicious food! 🧧🐉
We were honored to host an incredible lion dancing performance by the talented Mak Fai Kung Fu Club. Residents and families were captivated as the dancers shared the rich history and meaning behind lion dancing, brought the traditions to life through movement, and even held a wonderful Q&A session where everyone had the chance to learn more.
The celebration continued in the kitchen as our amazing Culinary Director led a special cooking club where residents learned how to make dumplings from scratch and sampled authentic Chinese cuisine. From the sounds of the drums to the flavors of each dish, the day was filled with joy, connection, and meaningful cultural experiences.
Thank you to Mak Fai Kung Fu Club and our culinary team for helping us ring in the Lunar New Year with such spirit and celebration. Wishing everyone a year filled with good health, happiness, and prosperity! 🏮✨

🐾 Welcome to the Family, Mookie! 🐾
We are so excited to welcome our second community dog, Mookie, to Silverado Bellevue! 💙 Mookie has already begun bringing smiles, comfort, and companionship to our residents with his loving presence.
At Silverado, one of our core standards is maintaining a ratio of one community dog for every 25 residents. We believe deeply in the power of pets, and research continues to show that animals help reduce blood pressure, lower stress, and bring purpose and meaning to people’s lives.
Mookie is already doing just that, creating moments of connection, joy, and unconditional love throughout our community. We are so grateful to have him as part of our Silverado family and can’t wait to see the positive impact he will continue to make every day. 🐶

We are thrilled to introduce the newest (and furriest) member of our Silverado Bellevue Memory Care community, Tobi! 💙
Tobi is a one-year-old Yorkie–Dachshund–Maltese mix with the sweetest personality and an energetic, joyful spirit.
He has already stolen hearts by curling up in laps, offering endless kisses, and spreading smiles wherever he goes. Tobi’s gentle nature and loving companionship bring so much comfort, connection, and happiness to our residents and team members alike.
We can’t wait to make many wonderful memories with Tobi as part of our community family. Welcome home, Tobi! 🐶✨

🌟 Resident Spotlight: Meet Johnny! 🌟
We are so excited to shine the spotlight on Johnny, who recently moved into our Silverado Bellevue Memory Care community. Since joining us, Johnny has quickly become an active and valued part of daily life here.
Johnny enjoys starting his days with fresh air and friendship by joining our walking group for daily outdoor walks. When indoors, you’ll often find him focused and engaged while working on jigsaw puzzles, a favorite activity that keeps his mind sharp and hands busy.
One of Johnny’s most meaningful contributions has been helping build storage unit shelves for our plant operations department. This hands-on work gives him a strong sense of purpose and allows him to share his skills while giving back to the community.
We are so grateful to have Johnny with us and love seeing him thrive, connect, and make a difference every day. 💙

At Silverado Bellevue, purpose is at the heart of everything we do. ❤️
Our residents were recently seen working hands-on with a jigsaw machine designed to cut cardboard, creating beautiful Christmas decorations for our community. Through this meaningful activity, residents engaged their skills, worked with intention, and experienced the dignity of risk—having the opportunity to participate fully, make choices, and contribute in a meaningful way.
By working with their hands and creating something that gives back to our community, our residents found joy, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose. Moments like these remind us that meaningful engagement creates lasting impact far beyond the decorations themselves. 🎄

Our Christmas celebration at Silverado Bellevue was truly one to remember! 🎄❤️
We were honored to welcome 40 of our residents along with 70+ family members, spanning generations from ages 2 to 97, for a day filled with joy, connection, and holiday magic. Our community came alive with three festive stations: a Christmas tree decorating station, an ornament-making station, and a sugar cookie decorating station that quickly became a favorite for all ages. 🍪✨
With delicious food, laughter echoing through the halls, and meaningful moments shared between loved ones, the day was filled with love and memories that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful to our residents, families, and team for making this celebration so special.
