Our monthly Lunch with the Ladies brought us to Plae Bistro ☀️💕

With the warm weather outside and great company around the table, we spent the afternoon sharing laughs, stories, and delicious food together. Everyone was having such a lovely time that we almost forgot to stop and take a picture! Outings like these are a great way to enjoy the community, friendship, and sunshine of the season.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This Memorial Day, we are especially grateful for the veterans, families, and heroes whose courage and service helped shape the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with friends, family, and residents, may we take a moment to reflect, remember, and give thanks. Wishing everyone a peaceful Memorial Day from all of us at Caretta. ❤️🤍💙

Just in time for Memorial Day, our resident Roger was treated to an unforgettable experience through the Old Glory Honor Flight program! 🇺🇸 This incredible non-profit organization flies military veterans to Washington, D.C. for a whirlwind day of visiting the memorials built in their honor, touring our nation’s capital, and witnessing the moving Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.

We are so grateful Roger had the opportunity to take part in this special journey. Thank you to all veterans for your courage, sacrifice, and service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

Did you know that tangrams are a classic Chinese puzzle? The goal is to arrange all of the shapes to create a picture or figure without overlapping. 🧩

A handful of our residents love these little brain teasers! While we were building, we talked a bit about some of our travels- one resident even recalled her trip to China where she saw children working with the same tangram pieces we were using! ✈️

We recently spent the afternoon at the Mulva Cultural Center enjoying a showing of ‘The Natural World of the Bay’. Residents learned about the vital role the Bay of Green Bay plays in our environment, along with the ongoing efforts and challenges involved in keeping it healthy for future generations. 🌊🦆🐟

Residents enjoyed an afternoon outing to Meijer, where there was something for everyone to explore! From groceries and snacks to personal items and special little finds, the variety made it easy for each person to shop for exactly what they wanted. It was a great chance to get out, browse the aisles, and enjoy time together beyond our community walls. 🛒🛍️

To make the trip even more special, we were joined by one of our resident’s daughters, who works at Meijer! She kindly took time to show us around, answer questions, and help make the trip extra welcoming. 🤍

Did you know that brain games can help keep the mind sharp by improving memory and encouraging problem-solving? 🧠

This week during Brain Games, everyone put their detective skills to work with a new mystery word game! Each person took turns rolling a dice to reveal letters, then worked together to guess the hidden word before the full answer appeared. 🎲 It was a fun way to keep our minds active while sharing plenty of smiles and teamwork!

Oops! Somehow lots of our nuts, bolts, screws, and washers got mixed together.. but several of our residents were quick to lend a helping hand! Working together, they carefully sorted everything back where it belonged and made quick work of the big mess. 🔩
