When your brain is yelling 'FOOD!' but your body is calm and collected… 😅

Most of us have been there- standing in front of the fridge, staring aimlessly into the light, realizing we’re not even hungry.

It’s a classic body vs brain moment. Your brain loves novelty, reward, and habit cues- your body just wants fuel. Recognizing the difference is step one.

Tips to keep the fridge from calling your name:

▸Pause and check in with your hunger: Am I actually hungry or just bored/stressed?
▸Drink water: Sometimes thirst masquerades as hunger
▸Grab protein or fiber first: Small balanced snacks curb the brain’s “fake” cravings.
▸Move first: A Short walk or stretch; sometimes the brain is seeking stimulation, not food.
▸Plan ahead: Prep meals/snacks so your brain doesn’t default to mindless grazing.
▸Distract with intention: Read, meditate, or do something enjoyable that isn’t food.
