A Special Celebration: Accepting the 2025 ICAA Gold Plate of Distinction

Our members, invited guests, and talented culinary teams helped create a memorable celebration as we accepted the 2025 ICAA Gold Plate of Distinction. We welcomed CEO Colin Milner of the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) for a special award presentation recognizing our dining teams from our Assisted Living/Memory Care and Independent Living communities.

Our week-long trip around the world was a huge success! Residents, associates, and loved ones enjoyed celebrating the theme "Ageless Adventure" during National Assisted Living Week. We took a van through the USA, we did an African Safari, we sipped tea from England, we had sushi in Japan and ended it by taking a journey through Mexico to discover its rich traditions and cultures.

We are so grateful for our incredible residents, their families, and our dedicated associates – these heartfelt bonds inspire moments of joy that span generations. ❤️

This awesome crew spent the day exploring the Cedar River Watershed, starting with a relaxing lunch at South Fork.🌲💧 At the Education Center, we learned how this protected area plays a vital role in supplying clean water to our region. One surprising detail: Rattlesnake Lake isn’t named after snakes, but after the tall grasses once found there — their seed pods made a sound like a rattlesnake when the wind blew through them. 🌾🐍

As part of our Watermark University class, our Community Life team treated us to a hands-on donut-making experience—right in front of us! 🍩 While making fresh mini donuts, they shared personal stories from their time working in bakeries and sparked great conversations about all things dessert. With rainbow and sugar sprinkles, plus chocolate and white chocolate toppings, everyone enjoyed a fun and flavorful afternoon.

What a fantastic afternoon at our final block party of the summer! ⚾️ We were lucky enough to invite back The Randy Collective who kept us grooving while everyone enjoyed delicious baseball-themed food, fun games, and even some line dancing. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to make this day so special — we’re already sad to see it end! Can you believe August is almost over? Time really flies when you’re having this much fun! ☀️🎉
