Estrogen blocking medications, like Tamoxifen, initiate lymphatic swelling and reduce blood flow in women post breast cancer surgery.

Why? Because estrogen supports lymphatic flow and blood flow. When estrogen is blocked, lymphatics and blood flow significantly reduce allowing for tissue swelling and lymphedema in the arm on the side of surgery.

They often blame the swelling on the surgery but it is because most women after surgery are prescribed Tamoxifen which slows the lymphatics causing swelling for a lifetime.

There are other ways to support breast cancer to reduce the risks of lymphedema.

Thrilled my baby is finally born!

I began writing this book soon after my mother’s aggressive cancer diagnoses. She refused all conventional cancer therapies. Despite all odds she instead chose to pursue naturopathic and functional medicine and to address the root causes of her illness. She chose courage, faith, audacity, hope and love over fear, hopelessness and resignation. Her cancer stabilized and failed to rapidly progress. She thrived for 9 years until the pandemic hit.

My mother taught me the power of healing and graceful aging through unleashing our feminine powers while harmonizing science with spirituality. She taught me to lead with compassion, humility and oneness. She taught me to stay present, detached and joyful no matter what.

The essence of her wisdom and beauty, of courage and encouragement and love led me to write this book.
