What Really Happened to HEARTSAVER
UPDATE (The Times we Live In)
***********************************

November 5, 2024 we/HEARTSAVER were notified that Creighton hired someone new to replace the former Creighton EMS Education AHA training center coordinator.

(That person purchases and issues cards to instructor and training sites)

November 6, 2024 we learned that they actually changed Creighton EMS Education to another Creighton removing (EMS) from the name. Instructors and training sites didn’t know that with that new name change they also created a new affiliation, new title for herself as AHA Director the phone numbers were also new.

With the new affiliation I was made aware of what Creighton was planning and the new mindset they had for 2025. Because of the loyalty I had with Creighton EMS Education and the agenda Creighton’s attitude of encouraging instructors and training sites not to train non medical students i.e the (general public) in CPR and First Aid.

Creighton was planning on creating financial hardship in 2025 with their plan to outrageously double the cost of 1 CPR or First Aid card to $34 per card for cards and courses for the general public.

With this in mind, I asked Creighton for a refund for the cards that I purchased for my AHA eCard inventory several months prior.

Without prior knowledge or notice, this new Director and new affiliation had access to HEARTSAVER’s/my AHA portal.

By November 7, 2024 the new AHA Director at Creighton stole 53 eCards from HEARTSAVER /my AHA portal, blocked me from accessing cards, moved my cards to their new Creighton and didn’t want to refund for thoses card that I paid in advance several months earlier. As result I could not provide classes where course completions cards were required.

HEARTSAVER had been tied and affiliated to Creighton EMS Education around 2008 who took a chance and believed in me and allowed me to operate as a business under (HEARTSAVER).

Creighton EMS Education invited me to become a training site for them because of my extensive experience, integrity, character real world training methods, years as an EMT, First Responder and years on public safety and community service.

December 3, 2024 I filed a small claims court suit against that director for the cost cards after she failed to respond to certified letter requesting a refund for the eCards that she stole from my portal and I also included loss of income of $5931 from 53 classes that I can no longer provide cards for.

I was looking forward to presenting my case and evidence to a judge in small claims court and would have been quick and easy.

Sometime in February 2025 Creighton’s AHA Director actually hired an attorney and he filled a motion to have the case moved out of small claims so she wouldn’t face me and so attorneys would now be involved on both sides. Because things were done on-line it may have created challenge regarding jurisdiction.

As a result and before it got to the next level Creighton’s attorney offered to settle the case for the cost of the cards. In order not to tie up the judiciary system, potential for additional cost and legal delays I accepted an out of court settlement just for the cost of the cards.

It has been a pleasure to every student that left with a solid foundation, confidents, understanding the information and how it work in the real world. Over 7500 students trained.

I will continue to be a source for information that relates to CPR. As an EMT since 1982 and former First Responder and performed CPR on adult, children and infants I have an understanding of it really works in the real world.

You don't need a CPR card to perform Hand's Only Chest Compressions or CPR in a real world situation.

CPR INFORMATION:
Push Hard and Fast in the Center of the Chest.
Use Proper Technique: Arms straight, elbow locked.
Push deep to smash the heart to force blood out of the heart.
Coming up is the blood returning back into the heart. (recoil)
Find a rhythm that is fast.
