Happy Gingerbread Cookie Day!

For the month of November, we had several birthdays, and we chose to celebrate Pat's, recently! There were several residents that attended the celebration and enjoyed cake and ice cream. We all sang Happy Birthday to Pat, and as you can see, the smile on her face said it all. She was very happy for the party!

We also played some trivia, and the birthday girl was locked in answering so many of the trivia questions! A great time was had by all who attended the celebration!

This week, our affiliated communities have been celebrating the cuisine from our Port of Call to Bar Harbor, Maine!

Bar Harbor's cuisine is mainly known for its seafood, specifically lobster. Because Bar Harbor is located along the Atlantic Ocean, seafood, such as crab, shrimp, and scallops, is readily available. To find out more about Bar Harbor and their cuisine, check out our blog:

It was a beautiful fall day for a lunch outing with the sun shining and clear skies. The residents and staff from the Bellevue Care Center enjoyed a lunch outing at Berardi’s in Huron, Ohio.

The residents enjoyed perch dinners, Rueben’s, roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, patti melt and even one of us had a hickory cheeseburger. All the meals came with Berardi’s homemade fries and if you left the outing hungry, then you couldn’t have finished your meal because the portions were very generous and more than enough. Every one of us left there definitely full and ready for naps after the wonderful food and company.

We enjoyed celebrating our Veterans at the Bellevue Care Center with a ceremony provided by Stein Hospice along with certificates, a pin and a mail call letter. The Veterans were very honored and accepted there small gifts of appreciation with a smile. We sang some songs together and then celebrated with refreshments and strawberry crème pie. It was an honorable dedication to our Veterans that has done so much for our country.

Today is World Kindness Day. This day is dedicated to remembering to always be kind to one another. Kindness is important to building community and helping us achieve peace in the world.
