There’s nothing quite like watching hard work, determination, and heart come together on the biggest stage 💙

Our athletes showed up and showed OUT at the Special Olympics—and we couldn’t be more proud of this incredible team! From first-time competitors to seasoned swimmers, every single athlete gave it their all, proving that success is about courage, growth, and believing in yourself.

Many of these swimmers started with fear or uncertainty in the water—and now they’re racing, smiling, and achieving things they once thought were impossible. That’s what adaptive swimming is all about 🙌

Medals or not, these athletes are champions in every sense. They continue to inspire us, push boundaries, and remind us why we do what we do every single day.

Way to make waves, team 🌊💪

Wishing everyone who celebrates a Happy Easter tomorrow. 🐣🐰Friendly reminder all sessions are canceled tomorrow.

💙 April is Autism Acceptance Month 💙

At Nurturing Water Therapies, we believe every swimmer deserves to feel safe, supported, and celebrated—just as they are.

Autism isn’t something to fix. It’s something to understand and embrace.

Acceptance means inclusion, patience, and creating space for everyone to thrive. 💙

If your child is hesitant about wearing goggles or sensitive to anything touching their face, you’re not alone—and there are ways to gently build comfort and confidence 💧

In this video, we’re showing a simple, step-by-step approach we use called “Goggle Time”.

Every child’s sensory needs are different. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s helping them feel safe, empowered, and successful in the water.

✨ With patience and the right approach, confidence will come.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

🚨 If a child or adult with autism is missing, SEARCH WATER FIRST.

💧Water safety saves lives. Drowning is a leading cause of death for children — and for children with autism, the risk is significantly higher. Drowning accounts for more than 70% of wandering-related fatalities.

What Autism Families Should Know:
• Children with autism may be drawn to water — regardless of temperature or type
• Natural water (ponds, lakes, rivers, canals, fountains, wastewater) may be especially appealing
• Use social stories to teach water safety & trusted adults
• Reinforce: never enter water alone
• Use visual schedules to show when water play is appropriate
• Take every precaution to prevent wandering

Visit NAA’s Wandering Prevention resources to learn more. 💙

💧 Did you know water can be deeply regulating for neurodivergent individuals?

Being submerged provides calming full-body sensory input — like a gentle hug — helping reduce anxiety, improve body awareness, and support emotional regulation.

Sometimes therapy looks like floating. 💙
