Here is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the mission of the Near Vision Institute, which operates the Eye See Clinic and it’s ongoing mobile clinic events across Washington State!

Near Vision Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing school-based optometry to underserved communities.

Near Vision Institute launched it's first mobile vision clinic event in May of 2022 and since then have completed 37 event days in 2022.

Near Vision Institute have provided almost 1500 vision screenings and 668 eye exams during these mobile trips.

In 2022 Near Vision Institute visited selected schools and districts such as: Nespelem, Paschal Sherman Indian School, Chelan, Grand Coulee, Benton City, West Valley Yakima, Yakima SD, Sauk-Suiattle, Muckleshoot, Palisades, Orondo, Okanagan, Manson, Wenatchee, Mansfield, Waterville, Auburn, and Seattle.

Near Vision Institute is connecting with and working with state and tribal organizations such as the Migrant Education Program (OSPI), Homeless Education Programs (McKinney Vento Act), Educational Service Districts, Tribal Councils, philanthropy, and foundations.

Formally known as Vision Clinics of Development & Learning, The Near Vision Institute is a WA state non-profit center for evaluation and treatment for vision disorders.

The EYE See Clinic is a branch of Near Vision Institute and will provide eye exams, eye glasses, vision therapy, and other vision related services pediatrics through a Bothell and Bellevue clinic base facility, as well as a mobile vision clinic traveling across the state of WA.

There’s so much more to vision than 20/20.... can you focus your eyes or relax them? Can you bring your eyes in or out? Do they work together or does one eye “turn off”/ suppress?

Can you see the camera focusing? That’s what your eyes do automatically! At least it should be automatic.... if you are having trouble focusing and objects remain blurry (after proper glasses correction) we could help you! !

People notice how blurry their vision is when they take off their first pair of glasses. They think the glasses made it worse as they’ve never noticed blur before....ACTUALLY...you always saw that blurry! Now you know what clear vision is thanks to your new glasses! So now you are actually noticing how blurry your vision was, it’s not getting worse.

Another reason to wear glasses? Less risk of coronavirus.
