We have all levels of care including medical detox, residential treatment program, and outpatient programs; which include partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient programming (IOP). We keep a low client count to ensure each client gets1-1 care. We specialize in the treatment of dual diagnosis, depression, anxiety, & trauma related addiction. We have a strong aftercare program and provide family support to ensure long-term sobriety.

Our Story

Hotel California by the Sea was founded by Carl Mosen in 2013 in Newport Beach, CA. with a vision to treat addiction and co-occurring disorders in a luxurious, therapeutic and beautiful environment where clients were treated with dignity and compassion. Carl and his team bring 30+ years of clinical excellence, expertise and centuries of solid recovery to the addiction treatment field. Carl and his team feel it is their purpose to share the precious gift of recovery with as many alcoholics and addicts as possible which has fueled our rapid expansion over the past few years.

Since day one, HCBTS had plans of opening it’s doors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest due to it’s strong ties to the area. HCBTS’ Vice President, Brian Burke, grew up in a large Irish catholic family on Capitol Hill in Seattle, WA. where he attended St. Joseph, Seattle Prep and then Seattle University. Brian is a true Seattleite with a passion for his hometown and yes, the Seahawks, too! After his own struggle with addiction and many failed attempts to get sober, Brian finally received the gift of recovery and has been sober every since. Today, Brian feels it is his purpose to share the gift of recovery with others who are still struggling. Brian and the executive team feel extremely blessed to be able to bring quality and long-term addiction treatment care to a city that means so much to him and his family.
