This is the first clinic on the West coast to have the Balance tutor treadmill that simulates slips/trips and falls in a safe and proven method for retraining the nervous system to decrease falls. There are many applications for this training across the medical spectrum, neurologic rehabilitation after a stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, TBI , spinal cord injury and Cerebral palsy. If you have had a hip or knee replacement, or spinal surgery, your balance has likely been impacted. If you have been injured in motor vehicle accident or during sports, reestablishing your balance and sense of well being is extremely important. This unique training is beneficial to anyone who has noticed they are facing balance challenges. Each treatment addresses your individual needs, which may include strength, neuro reeducation, gait training , endurance and balance.
We also offer cutting edge training using our hand, leg and 3D tutors combined with biofeedback computer gaming to address balance issues and neurological or muscle weakness in hands, legs and body. Many times you can be seen by both our Physical and Occupational therapy staff on the same day. Our unique technologies and comprehensive approach to Balance and neurologic rehabilitation is changing the outcomes for many people that have not found help with traditional approaches to their challenges.
