We are gonna go with Myth!

While transferring more than one embryo during IVF can indeed lead to multiple birth it’s not IVF itself, but the number of embryos transferred to the uterus during the procedure, that increases your risk of multiple babies. A single embryo transfer, for instance, actually narrows your odds of having twins to less than 3%. 😱

Sadly, early miscarriages are common. In the first 3 months, 1 in 4 women will have a miscarriage. After 3 months, the risk of having a miscarriage goes down significantly. While miscarriage is common, it often flies under the radar and is not widely discussed.

The World Health Organization released a great article titled 'Why we need to talk about losing a baby.' It goes on to discuss how losing a baby in pregnancy through miscarriage or stillbirth is still a taboo subject worldwide, linked to stigma and shame.

The New Year represents a clean slate to evaluate your goals and to make a plan for how you’re going to achieve them. In order to achieve the goal of conceiving, there are certain steps you can take to not only better your health, but also to increase your chances of getting pregnant.

Moderate exercise and a balanced diet are go-to resolutions for a reason: not only do they improve overall health, but they can also benefit a person’s fertility. Obesity is a real factor in successful fertility conception. It is always recommended that future individuals practice a healthy lifestyle before and after conception! 💪🍎
