We have lowered the flag to half staff to honor those impacted by the senseless tragedy in Uvalde, Texas. Our hearts go out to the children, parents, school staff, community, and anyone really that has suffered through such pointless violence. This is a horrific loss of life that is way too common and we surely hope we as a nation can come together, put partisanship aside and make some changes to put an end to it.

Our beloved Holly has returned from medical leave and is as happy and healthy as ever. She is ready to take your appointments. Did anyone get any of that sun we had today? Tomorrow is looking good too! Please don't forget your sunscreen folks. Wearing sunscreen is the best protection you have against UV rays that damage your skin and cause skin cancer.

I asked our Medical Assistant Angelita what her favorite sunscreen was, and she said the Elta MD 46 Tinted. When I asked her what she liked about it, she said it goes on light and doesn't feel thick and heavy, plus the tint really simplified her morning makeup routine.

We of course carry this and have it in stock for the lowest price you'll find.

Lastly, I noticed that a number of big box retailers are selling this product online, but the issue is they are not selling it directly, it's a third party reseller listing. Meaning there is no guarantee and when tested some of these have been found to be totally fake junk with all sorts of random stuff in them, in more than one case they even found ranch dressing in the products!! Yuck! 😟

So even if you do end up getting your product elsewhere, please ensure that you are getting it from a certified seller. Our products come directly from the folks who make them, there is no middleman so you can always be confident you're getting the real deal.

It is Woman's History Month, and we would like to recognize Dr. Rose Hirschler.

She is the first woman in the United States to graduate as a dermatologist in 1921. This excellent, but low quality photo is literally the only photo I was able to find of Dr. Hirschler on the internet. If perhaps you have heard the name Hirschler before it might be because it is the name of the award given every year to a woman who makes a significant contribution to the field of dermatology by the Woman's Dermatologic Society.

We thank Dr. Rose Hirschler and all of the women who have made great contributions in dermatology.
