Choosing a Word of the Year is a simple yet powerful way to set intention for the months ahead. One meaningful word can serve as a guide—shaping decisions, inspiring growth, and grounding you during both challenges and celebrations. Whether your word reflects courage, joy, balance, service, or growth, let it be a gentle reminder of who you want to be and how you want to show up this year. Share your word and inspire others to choose theirs, too.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Joint Service Club Luncheon with fellow service clubs and their members, along with the Mayor, Council and City staff. One of my favorite characteristics of the Bellflower community is the caring individuals involved in providing volunteer services to the community. It was good to see the Lions, Soroptimist, Kiwanis and Rotary clubs again and the guest speaker, Mr Yokomizo had a great presentation on leadership qualities.

The Woman's Club of Bellflower partnered with Su Casa for our International Day of Service project. When asked what they needed to help survivors of abuse at their shelters, they provided a list of items their shelters needed and we got busy! We were able to provide sheets, towels, blankets, washcloths, body wash, lotion and Avon facial cleansers/moturizers. Thank you for the opportunity to serve our community!

Together, we support survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We can't wait to hear how each group makes an impact on their community today.

Ladies lunch was a great way to welcome club members back from summer break before our official business meeting coming up. Also a great way to introduce our new member Mary to our club and collect our donations four the GFWC International Day of Service! If you'd like to donate new linens we are accepting them on Tuesdays up until the 23rd.
