Hi everyone! 👋

I'm Emily, and for those who don’t know me or if we haven't chatted in a while, I wanted to reintroduce myself! I’m 39, born and raised in Bellingham, been married for almost 3 years, and am obsessed with my role as a cat mom🐾! I’m a caregiver at heart, dedicated to supporting seniors and promoting human flourishing through my personal and business pursuits. I’m passionate about helping people prioritize self-care in their lives in every season.

A couple of years ago, I was struggling with dry scalp and was introduced to Audere, a Natural Luxury Spa Product company. Their products transformed my scalp and hair, and I was so impressed that I became a consultant. Now, I’m proud to say I’m also a part-owner of this amazing company! Being part of Audere’s supportive community has been incredible, and I love being able to help people discover natural and effective solutions. 🌿✨

I absolutely love all things purple, and in my free time, you can find me baking, knitting, embroidering, and designing things on Canva. At home, I love spending time with my husband, cooking and exploring together, and of course, hanging out with my adorable cat, Snickerdoodle!

There are a ton of great tips and recipes to make your dollar stretch while providing a low-anxiety entry point into the kitchen. I LOVE dreaming about how best to advocate for and facilitate a better version of senior home care, specifically with a focus on social connection! I'm passionate about being the change in the industry and taking bold steps, and this morning I was inspired again to keep pushing forward with seemingly out-of-the-box or impossible ideas.

What inspired me?

I read an article this morning about Carehaus, a truly innovative model of senior care that echoes the core values of what I really believe home care could look like! I'd encourage you to read it (will put the link in the comments).

A little teaser... "What would it be like to be a well-paid professional caregiver who lives with your family — a spouse or young kids, perhaps — in a beautiful building alongside older adults who receive your care?"

"There will be no corridors. Rather, each floor will have four or five units surrounding a common room. Natural light, vibrant colors and art will abound throughout the building. Public spaces will have large windows, with smaller ones in each unit to allow residents to see what’s happening on the street from their bed or sofa. There will be a different design theme and color on each floor... this building is designed with attention and care for you. Having a space full of art gives a sense of belonging and identity.”
