Spicy Ground Turkey & Green Bean Stir-Fry⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 lb. green beans⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4 tsp. coconut oil (or vegetable oil)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tbsp. sesame oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 garlic cloves, minced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbsp. ginger, minced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1.33 lbs. 99% lean ground turkey⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4 tbsp. low sodium soy sauce ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbsp. rice vinegar⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tsp. Asian chili garlic paste ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Preheat the oven to broil. Toss the green beans with half of the coconut oil. Lay flat on a baking sheet covered in foil. Broil for 6-8 minutes until tender and beginning to char. Shake the pan once during cooking.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Meanwhile, heat the remaining coconut and sesame oil over medium high heat. Add the ground turkey, garlic, and ginger. Brown until turkey is fully cooked.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is a manual therapy technique used by all of our therapists in the injury recovery process. It requires specialized training and works by focusing on releasing tightness in trigger points that are causing you pain. These trigger point areas where your massage therapist is working may not be near where the pain originates or where you feel the pain most prominently; that's because myofascial release works the broader network of muscles that are causing your pain.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Stretching! It can make or break your day and keep your muscles loose, avoiding repetitive-use injuries. Try adding these 5 simple stretches to your morning: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. While standing, touch your toes and hold it there; put your hands on your ankles and gently pull for a greater stretch.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Standing in a doorway with your hands touching either side, lean forward until you feel a stretch in your arms.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. While sitting, touch the soles of your feet together and then lean your body forward as far as you can.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Lean your head to one side and gently place your hand on the top of your head; pull gently downwards. Repeat for the other side. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. With your arm straight in front of you with palm up, bend your wrist so your fingers are towards the ground; now hold your fingers with your other hand and gently pull them towards your body for a stretch in your inner arm. Repeat for the other arm.
