The kids are back, so the toys are back! Feeling sentimental seeing these reminders of my earlier parenting years AND the many hours of entertainment they’ve offered Salish Sea kids for the past decade. Books, firefighters, animals, trucks, dolls, stethoscope. . . Bring your imaginations little ones!

Behind the scenes! I keep your chart up to date, read lab and ultrasound reports - and call you with results, communicate with insurance companies and healthcare providers, complete FMLA paperwork, request, read and send medical records, answer client questions, schedule, consult, file birth certificates, research, do continuing education and keep my license and certifications up to date, among many other important tasks. The best part is my time with you, but all of it is necessary to support your care. 💞

Oh Summer! So many flavors and colors. And our Farmers Markets take SNAP/EBT to make it easier to access locally grown produce. It’s so much easier to eat the rainbow in summertime. What have you been loving?

18 years ago I learned that I’d be having a c-section, not the home birth I planned. 15 years ago, I snuggled the newborn I pushed out in a tub in my bedroom. Today I cherish each child beyond comprehension and the learning and growth that came from all of my birth experiences. Our journeys- and our children’s - are unique and sacred. ✨💕✨

The sun popped from the clouds just as I arrived at the birth center this morning. Felt like a blessing on this garden that welcomes laboring families in the door and new babies to the outside world. ☀️🐝🌸
