Let’s give a big round of applause to our January Residence Week graduates! 🎓

This group included new Right at Home owners and corporate team members, as well as some office staff members from new and existing offices. They all came together for a week of learning and connection. A heartwarming initiative called the “Grandma Stand” offers people a chance to sit down and talk with volunteer grandmothers about life’s challenges.
The idea began in Brooklyn when reporter Mike Matthews saw how his 95-year-old grandmother, Eileen Wilkinson, profoundly helped a coworker through weekly chats. Matthews set up a lemonade stand with a laptop so anyone could video chat with Wilkinson, who spoke with hundreds of strangers until her passing at 102.
Today, the concept lives on in McKinney, Texas, where local grandmas volunteer to listen and share wisdom. The stand provides comfort, advice, and a listening ear—proving that empathy and life experience can make a big difference.

Right at Home Rock Hill, SC is deeply engaged with their local veteran community, creating meaningful opportunities for connection and support.

Each month, they host “Brew & Chew” events at Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, where veterans can gather to share stories, socialize, and build friendships. These meetings are not only a chance to have fun but also to learn about valuable resources and hear from a variety of guest speakers. In 2025, the office took this initiative a step further by recording these presentations and discussions, launching a podcast to make these conversations accessible to an even wider audience!

The Brew & Chew program is an incredible initiative that truly makes a difference in the lives of local veterans. Programs like this are essential because they not only provide support but also celebrate the service and sacrifices of those who have served our country. Thank you, Right at Home Rock Hill!

At Right at Home Lima, OH, owners Sandra and Mike Bullock continue to live out the Right at Home mission in ways that reach far beyond client care. For nearly a decade, they’ve shown their team what true leadership looks like—consistent appreciation, genuine kindness, and the kind of support that makes employees feel seen and valued. From hosting regular staff gatherings to simply showing up with compassion every day, Sandra and Mike are described as the type of owners who make their workplace feel like family.

That care was on full display recently when several caregivers expressed worry about feeding their families due to the pause in SNAP benefits. Without hesitation, Sandra and Mike assembled and distributed more than 40 food boxes, each filled with enough essentials to get staff through several days. The gratitude on caregivers’ faces said everything. In a moment of stress, they felt relief, dignity, and the reassurance that their employer truly cares. Sandra and Mike don’t just uphold the mission of improving the quality of life for those we serve; they extend it fully to their team, creating a culture where support is a daily practice. 💖
