Becoming a Parent Again Circle is a weekly space to slow down, connect, and talk honestly about what it’s like to grow your family while already parenting a little one (or more).

Held by Julia Zefting—owner of Whatcom Family Village and mama of three—this circle offers support around things like:
✨ navigating sibling transitions
✨ juggling multiple needs
✨ shifts in identity and partnership
✨ making space for you in the midst of it all

Meet Andrea Lacey, M.A., CCC-SLP ✨

Andrea is a mom and pediatric speech-language therapist who believes the most powerful learning happens through play. With over six years of experience supporting children from babies to teens, she brings energy, creativity, and so much heart into every session.

In Purposeful Play, Andrea guides parents of babies ages 6–18 months through simple, meaningful play—sharing how communication, language, and connection grow long before words. Each week for six weeks, she meets families right where they are and offers practical tools you can carry into everyday life at home.

This series isn’t about doing it “perfectly.” It’s about building confidence, understanding your child’s development, and learning how to support communication in ways that actually feel doable.

Our lovely windowed front office has room!

Whatcom Family Village would dearly love to welcome a practitioner (or two) to share our space.

As a local hub for pregnant, postpartum and new parents, we have an amazing and growing community with a lot of foot traffic and exposure to potential new clients.

The space is ideal for: midwifery, lactation support, bodywork, talk therapy, doula work or other modalities.

Monday: available immediately
Tuesday, Wednesday: available March
