Flotsam & Flow: A Creative Day for Women - February 28, 2026

Imagine a day where you dance, play, create, and connect—without worrying if you're "doing it right."

Join us for movement, improv, contemplative collage-making, and creative exploration by the water. This is your invitation to let go of perfection, embrace the process, and discover what emerges when you give yourself permission to just be.

Like sea glass shaped by the journey, you'll leave with something beautiful—a deeper connection to yourself and the women around you.

It's creative exploration. A day to practice "yes, and" instead of "am I doing this correctly?" A day to honor your individual voice within the power of community.

Breathtaking, heartsparkling beauty is everywhere. Seemingly "simple" things transform into infinite and intricate little worlds of magic -- and that includes YOU and ME and EVERYTHING alive on this gorgeous, luscious cosmic rock. What a terrific, terrifying, terrestrial trip we're all on together. ✨️

My little dance bio from the WCC website 💛

Dana has been singing and dancing with friends to feel good for as long as she can remember! She has enthusiastically participated in and led countless group dance fitness classes and silent disco events over the years and believes in the power of simple, authentic dance to create health and joyfulness in her life and in the world. She loves sharing The Groove DANCEfloor Experience with adults, kids, families and seniors in as many settings as possible -- if you can move, you can Groove!

Dana earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Washington University in 2004 and is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Azerbaijan '06-'08). Since becoming a certified Nia White Belt Teacher in 2016 and a licensed Groove Facilitator in 2019, she has led hundreds of dance experiences both in-person and online.

Dana loves hiking with her friends, crafting with her daughter and walking with her dog. She enjoys live theater, musical concerts, traveling, poetry, arts/crafts, hearty food and heady conversation.

I've been experiencing difficult emotions and disordered sleep these past few years. And through it all, the chickadees have supported me immensely. Quite literally, they help me get out of bed most mornings. I hear them calling me to come out onto the porch and read them poems while they visit my feeders. They swoop and perch so precociously close to me. They look at me with such courage and curiosity. They bless me with their sweet songs and charming chirps. They are there for me no matter what. I love them so. 💕
