This was an outstanding presentation that balanced epidemiology, prevention, and clinical pearls. As an acupuncturist, I value these cross-disciplinary trainings because they expand my lens of care. Veterans benefit when all of us—physicians, nurses, social workers, and complementary providers—are aligned on infectious disease prevention and treatment, especially in populations living with substance use disorders.

I've officially completed the VA's Community Care Provider Opioid Safety Initiative (Section 131) certification! 🩺💪

As a Community Care Network Acupuncture and Taiichi/Qigong Provider, I'm proud to be part of a national initiative aimed at improving chronic pain care for Veterans—using safer, non-opioid, and integrated approaches like Acupuncture and Qigong. 🧠✨🪡

This training deepened my understanding of:
✅ Evidence-based guidelines to reduce opioid risk
✅ Holistic strategies for managing chronic pain
✅ The critical role of acupuncture and qigong in supporting Veteran health & function
✅ How to collaborate with the VA to provide high-quality, non-pharmacological care

Names carry frequency. They hold the resonance of who we are in this life.

At my graduation in Energetic Medicine, there was a place card waiting for me—with THE SAGE ENTERS THROUGH THUNDER written inside. It wasn’t formally given, but when I saw it, something clicked. I chose to claim it as my own.

I also carry an Indigenous name, and I hold both with equal reverence—each name holding a different thread of my essence.

As an Aries with Leo rising and a Gemini moon, the act of being seen and acknowledged through a name resonates deeply.

For my birthday, I had THE SAGE ENTERS THROUGH THUNDER tattooed on my arm—a permanent honoring of who I am becoming, and who I’ve always been.
