If you’re worried about nausea before starting chemo — or you’re already in it and struggling — here are a few natural remedies that could help ease your discomfort. ⬇️

• Ginger
• Diluted pineapple juice
• Acupressure or relief bands
• Acupuncture
• Aromatherapy inhalers designed for nausea
• And for severe symptoms, cannabis-based options (always a personalized conversation)

Not every remedy works for every body... and that’s exactly why personalized care matters!

Cancer treatment can feel like an unwanted full-time job — one you never applied for and can’t clock out of.

And when you’re also working, parenting, caregiving, or holding everything else together… it can feel like too much.

One of the most important things I tell patients early on is that we don’t have to solve everything today.

You’re allowed to focus on what’s right in front of you — the next few weeks, the next steps — and leave the rest for when your body and mind have more space to carry it.

If you’re in the thick of it right now, this is your reminder:
It’s okay to take it one step at a time. 🩷

As a Naturopathic Breast Oncologist, one of the key ways I help women thrive is by addressing their Biochemical Terrain - the environment where cancer cells grow. 💕

Conventional treatments focus on killing cancer cells (and they’re often necessary!), but what about your body’s internal environment? This is where we can make meaningful changes!

➡️ Swipe to discover a few ways to target that Biochemical Terrain! And if you want a simpler solution, Terrain Defense combines all these powerful compounds in one easy capsule, so you can focus on feeling better without being overwhelmed by supplements. 🔗 Head to the link in my bio to snag a bottle today!

One minute it’s, “something showed up on my mammogram…”

The next it’s, “you have breast cancer, and your surgery is next week.”

The speed is shocking. And for so many women, they feel like they have no time to catch their breath.

This is why education matters SO MUCH in those early days. When women are given clear options, they can slow the process down just enough to make informed decisions - decisions that align with their bodies, their values, and their lives.

If you’re in this space right now (or supporting someone who is) please know:
You’re allowed to slow it down. You’re allowed to ask questions. And you deserve to feel informed and supported every step of the way. 🩷

Let’s take the pressure off food for a moment...

You don’t need a rigid plan or perfect eating to support your body.
You just need enough protein, healthy fats, and lots of vegetables - while still giving yourself grace to enjoy your life! 🥂

Food is meant to nourish you, not become another thing you have to get “right.” 🩷

One of the most important things you can do early on in your journey with breast cancer? ⬇️

Figure out your love language and share it with the people who want to show up for you!

Because if you thrive on acts of service, but everyone’s offering hugs or gifts… it’s easy to feel unseen, even when people are trying their best.

Clear communication helps your support team show up in the ways that help you feel truly cared for. It sets a healthier, smoother tone for the entire path ahead. 🩷

Breast cancer has a way of shining light on everything women carry - the pressure, the caregiving, the relationship strain, the workplace stress… all the invisible weight we’re expected to push through every day.

And in the middle of all of that, you’re expected to make life-changing medical decisions, advocate for yourself, and navigate grief that no one warned you about.

This is why whole-person care matters.
Why we have to talk about the hard things.
Why resilience is more than just a treatment plan or supplement list.

You deserve personalized, compassionate care that honors both the practical AND emotional parts of this journey. 🩷

Resilience isn’t something you’re either born with or without - it can be learned and nurtured.

Having a glass-half-full mindset can shape our ability to adapt during life’s hardest chapters, including a breast cancer diagnosis.

But here’s the part I believe in most:
Resilience grows when you’re supported, informed, and empowered to make the choices that feel right for YOU.

If this resonates with you, follow along for more conversations that center your voice, your wellbeing, and your path forward. 🩷

Every oncologist has a story about how they found their way into cancer care - mine began a little unexpectedly.

I didn’t set out to specialize in oncology, but it was my very first breast cancer patient who changed everything for me.

We were the same age - 37. She was preparing to start chemo when she learned she was pregnant with her third child.

I told her honestly, “I really don’t know what I’m doing.”
She looked at me and said, “I don’t care. I want you on my team.”

So we built a completely individualized roadmap for her care. I walked with her through treatment, through pregnancy, through every moment of uncertainty.

She did beautifully, her baby did beautifully, and that experience is what set the entire trajectory of my career in breast cancer care.

So, if you’re navigating a diagnosis, supporting someone you love, or seeking integrative guidance, remember that you don’t have to do it alone. My door is always open. 🩷

When you hear the words “you have breast cancer,” it’s easy to feel like everything needs to happen right now.

But here’s the truth: it usually doesn’t.

Take a breath. You have time to ask questions and understand what’s really happening in your body. To make your doctor explain it to you until it makes sense.

Knowing what’s happening in your body isn’t overreacting - it’s self-advocacy. 🩷

When cancer enters your life, it doesn’t just challenge your body - it challenges what you believe, how you cope, and what you hold onto when everything feels uncertain.

It’s okay if your beliefs shift. It’s okay if your definition of strength changes.

This journey will ask you to look deeper, think bigger, and make some of the most important decisions of your life - about treatment, about healing, and about how you want to move forward.

Give yourself permission to evolve. 💗
