To My Dear Clients and Friends,
As I sit down to write this, I can’t help but reflect on just how much you all mean to me. Over the years, you’ve been more than just clients—you’ve become friends, family, and such an important part of my life. Thank you for allowing me to do something I’ve truly loved while also providing for my family.
Many of you have stood by me through salon moves, the challenges of Covid, the loss of my dad and grandmother, my weight-loss surgery, and countless other life moments. You’ve not only been part of my journey but have helped me through it, and for that, I will always be grateful.
Most of you also know about this emotional journey I’ve been on for the last 500 days, which will officially reach that milestone on November 3rd. After countless exams, interviews, rowing tests, personal history statements, and oral boards—I’m humbled and excited to share that I’ve finally found the police department where I truly feel I belong.
On November 3rd, I will begin the Police Academy, which runs through April 24th, followed by a probationary period of 8–12 months. During this time, I won’t be able to work behind the chair or do anything outside of serving as a police officer.
This isn’t goodbye forever, though. My hope is that once I’m settled into this new chapter, I’ll be able to open up part-time again—and when that time comes, you will be the very first to know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for 10 incredible years of trust, loyalty, laughter, and love. Please don’t be a stranger—I would love to keep in touch as I step into this next adventure.
With all my love and gratitude,
Gemma Purser
