We've talked about this more here lately as we do more stress-emotional work with our peeps. Powerful stuff! What this says is true. We can eat all the healthy things, try to make all the right choices but if our our lives are in a general state of overwhelm-stress-anxiety-worry it makes it difficult to heal. We know chronic stress goes to your weakest spot and makes it worse. So what to do? Make different, possibly uncomfortable choices. Choose different paths. Turns out doing the same things, having the same fixed mindsets that got you to this point may not serve you going forward. Choose your words you say to yourself silently. I'm not good enough. I've always been this way. I can't change. Its too hard. I've tried so many times and failed. Honestly this is the devil telling you this load of bunk. Instead...by the grace and love of Jesus....I am deeply loved, I can do this, I can heal. I may stumble at times and it may be wicked hard but today I choose to be different and trust God has a plan for me....a good plan.....and tomorrow.....we wake up and do it again! One of the best books on slow incremental change is Atomic Habits. Improving or doing 1% better each and every day is easy. Thats 10 extra steps or one piece of Broccoli or even one two minute 4-7-8 breathing sesh. Small steps done over weeks and months make HUGE changes! So don't get discouraged my little buttercup! One....step....at....a.....time 🤩
