🌟Physician Spotlight 🌟

Meet Dr. Magness! He is one of our primary care Doctors here at Mid Coast Medical Center - Bellville!

Dr. Magness is originally from Houston, Texas. After high school, he studied electrical engineering and then received a law degree from the University of Houston in 2005. He practiced patent law in Houston at the firm of Patterson and Sheridan. After a few years of patent law, he decided to leave law practice and join the Army. He tried out for Special Forces and became a Green Beret medic. He served with 5th Special Forces Group in Afghanistan from 2012-2013.

After leaving the military, he pursued medicine and graduated from the University of Texas at Houston Medical School in 2020. He completed training in Family Medicine at one of the country’s few Christian residency programs in Harlingen, TX in 2023.

As a doctor and a veteran, Dr. Magness is very passionate about serving his patients and community. He is trained in adult and pediatric medicine. He can see children for sick visits and well-child checks. For adults, he can manage common illnesses and medical complaints, dermatological issues, and perform well-woman check-ups. Additionally, Dr. Magness is proficient in medical Spanish and enjoys helping Spanish-speaking patients.
