How it started ➡️ How it’s going
This week marks 8 years of Wild and Free Painting, almost 3 years in our beloved Belmar space, 16 years in private practice, and 23 years as an Art Therapist.

I joke that I’m a dinosaur in this field… and it FINALLY feels like the world is catching up to the value of the arts and creative expression as essential to living. Maybe you’ve felt this shift too? That creating isn’t extra and it’s not reserved for only the chosen few, but it’s more of a necessity to feeling human and connected.

If you’ve been here since the beginning, you might remember those early days, renting a yoga studio and transforming it into a painting space once a week. Three hours to set up and break down for a two-hour group. I was all in on bringing creativity out of the mind and into the body, for as many people as I could reach.
My commitment to using the creative arts as a pathway for healing has only deepened over the years and it finally feels like the world is ready for it too.
Thank you for being part of Wild and Free and all of its iterations.

If you feel called to create, see link in bio for spring/summer process painting groups and workshops.
See you in the studio! 🎨
