As many of us are starting our new fitness journeys, or as we continue along on our paths to wellness, adding in one more thing may feel daunting. Whether we are on our journeys for health, confidence, setting a strong example, or getting ourselves ready for a special day, ask yourself what is able to fuel your motivation. Write it down and revisit it as you meet your short term goals. 

Through all of this hard work you are accomplishing, remember that consistency is key and progress comes at us in small doses with those consistent steps. Along with that hard work, one way to truly maximize your workout sessions is stretching!

Four major benefits to adding in stretching:

Enhanced flexibility: stretching assists your muscles in lengthening, adding that extra oomph for range of motion

Improved blood flow: a great aid in recovery and performance by increasing circulation to your muscles

Reduced injury risks: regularity in our stretching keeps muscles supple, reduces soreness, and joints flexible, helping to reduce the risk of injury

Better performance: with your incredible, strong, flexible muscles your workouts are able to be more efficient and effective!

Don't let the extra stretching be daunting. Breathe deeply, relax, and don't over do it. You're already wonderful!

Meet Sophia, our newest team member at Project Strong! 🎉 With a degree in Health and Human Science from Loyola Marymount University and currently pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Sophia brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our studio.

Her focus on strength and functional training is designed to help you prevent injuries, stay active, and build habits that support a lifetime of movement and wellness. 💪
