Neurotoxins work by temporarily blocking the neurotransmitter responsible for sending signals between nerve cells that initiate muscle contraction.

By injecting a neurotoxin into specific muscle areas (forehead, brows, etc..) it prevents the muscles from moving and can eliminate or improve the fine lines and wrinkles associated with that muscle movement.
