Today, our residents were treated to a truly special visit from a talented wooden toy maker who shared the beautiful hand-carved toys he created. Each piece told its own story crafted with love, patience, and care.

He also delighted everyone by playing a few tunes, filling the room with warmth and joy. The combination of music, craftsmanship, and storytelling made for an informative and heartwarming afternoon that our residents absolutely loved!

A Wild Adventure at the San Francisco Zoo!

Today our residents enjoyed an unforgettable day exploring the San Francisco Zoo! From the playful penguins to the majestic lions, every moment was filled with smiles, laughter, and wonder.

We strolled through the beautiful gardens, watched the animals up close, and shared stories over lunch surrounded by nature. It was such a joy to see everyone’s faces light up with curiosity and excitement truly a day to remember!

Thank you to our amazing team for making this adventure possible. The zoo offered so much to explore, and the residents loved every minute of it!

Every year, our Silverado community proudly supports the Water Dog Race and this year was no exception! We had an absolute blast cheering on all the runners (including the four-legged kind).

There was laughter, cheering, dancing, and even a little singing as we encouraged everyone crossing the finish line. The joy it brought to our residents, families, and staff was unforgettable.

Thank you to the organizers, participants, and of course our amazing residents who make moments like these so special. We can’t wait to be back next year!

Spontaneous Sunshine Adventure!

Today our Nexus program took full advantage of the beautiful weather and headed out for a surprise trip to Coyote Point Beach.

Residents enjoyed the fresh ocean breeze, warm sunshine, and the peaceful sound of the waves. Smiles, laughter, and pure joy filled the afternoon as we soaked up the perfect day together.

Our residents had a wonderful outing to the San Mateo Rotary Club Car Show! The ladies especially enjoyed the lively music and loved admiring all of the beautiful, classic cars on display. Our residents had an absolute blast at the Red Door Escape Room. Nancy, Eileen, Connie, Mako and Cathy worked together, putting their minds to the test and piecing together clues to make their great escape!

Our residents enjoyed a cozy coffee outing this week, sipping warm drinks, sharing stories, and soaking in the comfort of fall together. Laughter and conversation flowed just as easily as the coffee, making it a perfect time to relax and connect.
To add even more joy, our Spa Club had recently treated residents to beautiful fall-inspired nails rich autumn shades and festive touches that had everyone admiring their hands. Residents proudly showed off their manicures during the outing, making the day feel extra special and celebratory.

Moments like these remind us how much simple pleasures like coffee, good company, and a little seasonal pampering can brighten our days at Silverado.

Silverado Life-Long Learning Club 🦎📚

Today our Life-Long Learning Club took a deep dive into the fascinating world of lizards! Residents learned all about these amazing creatures what makes them special, how they adapt, and why they’re such a unique part of nature.

To end the session, we shared a joyful story of Lizzie the Lizard and its adventures at Belmont Hills. The best part? Many of our residents were featured as characters in the tale, which brought endless smiles, laughter, and warm memories to the group.

At Silverado, learning is not only about knowledge it’s about joy, creativity, and connection.

We’re excited to share that our Nexus residents have launched a brand-new Criminology Club! Detective Dane was on the job leading the investigation as our residents put on their detective hats, solved mysteries, and uncovered clues together.

The residents had a blast stepping into the world of crime-solving, teamwork, and curiosity. What a fun and engaging way to exercise our minds while enjoying some laughs along the way!
