Ouch! That pain in your lower back may not be from over or underuse…

It may be coming from your sacrum, the triangular-shaped bone above your tailbone with passages for nerves and blood vessels.

This is usually where I find the culprit of the pain: inflammation from the attached tissues. Massaging the area reduces the pain and gets my clients “back” in their game!

Your Sports Health: I'm keeping tabs on medical research for certain types of antibiotics (particularly fluoroquinolones) as a factor on Achilles tendon and rotator cuff injuries.

I've had conversations with doctors as well as student and professional athletes, and, obviously, want my clients to get the treatments they need to stay healthy while being mindful of potential performance impact.
