🧡 Protect Your Vision: Know About Macular Degeneration 👁️‍🗨️

Macular degeneration is an eye disease that affects your central vision, making it hard to read, drive, or recognize faces. It’s a leading cause of vision loss in people over 50.

🔍 Two main types:

Dry (most common): Slow vision loss over time.

Wet: Faster and more serious, caused by abnormal blood vessels.

⚠️ Symptoms:

Blurry or fuzzy vision

Straight lines appearing wavy

Dark or empty spot in the center of vision

💡 Prevention tips:
✅ Don’t smoke
✅ Wear sunglasses
✅ Eat leafy greens & omega-3s
✅ Get regular eye exams

👁 Early detection = Better outcomes.
If you notice any changes in vision, see your eye doctor!

Our amazing Office Manager, Lacey, has been keeping things running smoothly at Belmont Eye since 2017! Born and raised in Mount Holly, she’s a proud wife of 11 years to her husband Matt and supermom to Ryder (10) and Carter (3).

When she’s not juggling schedules or making the office a better place, you’ll find her with her nose in a good hockey romance 📖🏒, planning her next adventure ✈️, or giving some TLC to her growing plant collection 🌿 (Greenest thumbs we have ever seen).
