The Beloit Evening Lions Club has launched Wisconsin’s first satellite Eyeglass Recycling Center, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us give the gift of sight.

Each pair of recycled glasses can change a life.

We need one volunteer per shift to help process donated glasses:

🕦 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

We are incredibly proud to announce that Wisconsin Lions Foundation (WLF) has officially opened their first satellite eyeglass recycling facility right here in Beloit.
After helping organize this project alongside Project Director Keith Mueller, it was an honor to celebrate our grand opening yesterday with many fellow local lions and dignitaries as well as some lions from throughout the state. You’ll also see my daughter, Eliana in the photos—she’s already eager to jump in and help us sort and process donations too. Our facility will now support the WLF’s global mission by sorting and processing donated eyeglasses right here in Beloit before they are shipped to those in need worldwide.
Thank you to everyone for making this partnership possible. We look forward to strengthening Wisconsin’s role in the Lions’ global vision mission! 🦁👓🌍

Congratulations to Dr. Douglas Kelley and the staff of Beloit Family Eye Care, who held their grand opening yesterday as the first year-round Eyeglass Recycling Satellite Location for the Wisconsin Lions Foundation.

We are excited for this new partnership and the opportunity for Lions in southern Wisconsin to have a location closer to home to assist with the eyeglass recycling project.
